A number of prominent Papua New Guineans who have been closely monitoring the climate change talks in Copenhagen have added their concern in relation to sea level rise affecting Papua New Guineans living in coastal or Maritime provinces.
Two Papua New Guineans who spoke on anonymity say the government of Papua New Guinea should not only concentrate on REDD but should seriously look at addressing sea level rise as well.
They say currently the government is yet to come up with a National Adaptation plan to address sea level rise affecting the people of Papua New Guinea.
