Oxfam Uganda’s Country Director, Savio Carvalho, is demanding rich countries in the West pay for the climatic damages they have caused to developing countries. The money would be used to assist communities affected by climate change in eastern Uganda, Kasese, Kabale and Rwanzori where the ice is melting. Mr. Carvalho made the remarks in a speech at the on-going UN Climate Change Conference in the Polish city of Poznan. Vision Voice’s Michael Wambi has the details.
