Uganda’s search for eco-friendly fuel

Ugandans are looking for alternative fuel. Currently, firewood and wood-based-charcoal are the most popular household fuels. But wood for charcoal is becoming scarcer and demand for it has led to soaring prices and created environmental destruction.

Now a new form of household fuel is being developed to encourage people to stop relying on their forests for energy. Wambi Michael reports.

    Less developed countries like Uganda, do not have to worry about ecological circumstances. Before USA and other developed countries should lead this movement

    i believe this is an opportunity for africa to become leaders in combating the problems being faced. countries like the usa and other powerful countries have failed in helping with the issues of the climate. i say stand up africans, lets show the world that we can beat global warming. from lesego(a journalism student)south africa

    I think they should try the jatropha plant and rely it for fuel
