Mahmoud Al-Dwairi

Mahmoud Al-Dwairi is from Jordan and works as a radio producer at Amman Net community radio station. He’s the creator of ‘Earth and Roses’, a programme that aims to raise environmental awareness - particularly among the youth - on the importance of preserving natural resources. Mahmoud has a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management (Plant Biodiversity in relation to Water Quality) and he also holds a Diploma in Science Journalism from the World Federation of Science Journalists. The content of Mahmoud’s programme, which is the first environmental radio programme to be broadcast in Jordan, covers a range of issues such as environmental news, medical plants, environmental dialogue and ecotourism. Mahmoud is also President of the Jordanian Science Journalists’ Association (JSJA).
