Jennifer Uloma Igwe

Jennifer is a senior presenter, reporter and producer with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). After graduating in business administration and management, she undertook extensive training in television presentation, news production and reporting, and creative writing. She has been anchoring and producing a weekly environment programme called ‘Earth Balance’ for the past nine years. Jennifer also contributes to the work of the NTA Network News and the award winning Programme-News Line. She has attended several conferences, workshops, seminars and trainings on the environment and climate change in Nigeria. Jennifer belongs to a number of groups including Building Nigeria’s Response to Climate Change Journalists Network and Environmental Journalists Network. Some of her reporting has been used in seminars in Nigeria to show the realities of climate change. She also uses her work with the NTA as a platform for education and advocacy. Thanks to her passion and inspiring stories on environmental, health and developmental issues, Jennifer has received several awards. She is also a part-time correspondent for newspapers and magazines.
