Irena Pretika Widayanti

Irena Pretika works for a non profit broadcaster that airs in Jakarta and Medan, two big cities in Indonesia. Her current position is as an assistant producer for a talk show program. The programme discusses issues about the environment, social issues, education and public health. Besides making a weekly talk show program, she also produces an in depth report about environmental issues. Her next project is making an educational program for children on the environment and science. She has worked as a journalist for three years. Before her current job she was a researcher for a private TV station in Indonesia. She is a graduate of journalism science. She was also a fellow for Reuters Climate Change Media Workshop, UNDP Climate Change and Human Development. She won an award for Education Program Production from Radio Netherland Training Center.
