Gustavo Bonato
Gustavo Bonato is a TV journalist working as a reporter for Canal Rural, the main Brazilian channel specialized in agriculture and agrobusiness. He has worked as editor and writer in radio and local television in Porto Alegre, Southern Brazil. He has recently finished a series in which travelled three months across Brazil in a truck, reporting the problems and hidden reality of Brazilian farmers. One of the highlights was the path through the Amazon jungle, where he showed people who have been invited by the federal government to go to the forest and cut it down, 30 years ago, for colonization purposes. Nowadays, these people are considered criminals but have no other way of living.
